eBRC readiness checker

Which of your Shipping Bills can have an eBRC generated today, and against which IRM? Paste the IRMs your bank has reported and your Shipping Bills. The checker suggests a match for each bill using DGFT’s published rules — single payments, instalments that club together, and one payment covering several bills — and says what is still missing.

One per line: reference, date, currency, amount, purpose code, AD code. Paste from Excel or DGFT’s IRM download.

One per line: number, date, currency, FOB value, AD code.

Dates are day first (DD-MM-YYYY). Nothing you paste leaves this browser.

Paste your IRMs and Shipping Bills, or try the example data.

Do this on every shipment, without pasting

In ExportEazy each bank remittance is linked to the invoice and Shipping Bill it pays, a remittance is never allotted twice, payments still without an eBRC are listed, and the eBRC request is prepared as DGFT’s bulk-upload file.

The rules the checker applies

  • Purpose code. For goods, only P0102, P0103, P0104 and P0109 can be used; a wrong code can only be amended by your bank (DGFT eBRC FAQs, Q25, Q28).
  • Instalments. Several IRMs can be clubbed into one eBRC when they are in the same currency, from the same bank and account, and carry the same purpose code — an advance (P0103) clubs with any. The eBRC takes the latest IRM date (exporter user guide, rules for clubbing IRMs).
  • One IRM, several bills. Map only this bill’s part of an IRM; the balance stays available, and the parts may not add up to more than the remittance (FAQ Q34; bulk eBRC user guide).
  • Currency. The Shipping Bill currency may differ from the IRM’s, and the eBRC is in the IRM currency (FAQ Q36, Q77). The checker only suggests matches within one currency; a cross-currency match is left for you to check.
  • AD code. A Shipping Bill with a different AD code from the IRM’s bank is allowed (FAQ Q56), though DGFT may show a warning.
  • Before export. An advance cannot be used before the Shipping Bill or invoice date.

Amounts within 2% are treated as matching, to allow for bank charges and rounding. That is the checker’s own allowance, not a DGFT rule — compare the figures before you generate.

Where to get the IRM list

On the DGFT portal, Services › eBRC › Bulk Download lists the IRMs your bank has reported. If a payment is missing there, read why an IRM may not show on DGFT — and for a Shipping Bill DGFT cannot see, how to check its integration status on ICEGATE.
